'Me', is a contemporary reimagining of the portrait, stepping away from the traditional expectations of the classical bust. Instead of fixing the self within a purely representational frame, the work offers a glimpse into an inner landscape; how I look, and how I feel.

Its dreamlike atmosphere gently departs from realism, allowing symbolism to surface.
The flowers woven through the composition reference my Ukrainian heritage; historically used to treat flesh wounds on the battlefield, they quietly acknowledge the ongoing full-scale invasion and the hardships endured by Ukrainians everywhere.

This work reflects my own inner landscape, and I hope it encourages viewers to look inward and recognise the shape of their own.
